BET Honors: African American Achievements From Aretha Franklin To Ice Cube + More

Comedian Wayne Brady will host the 2014 “BET HONORS,” touted as a star-studded, unforgettable night celebrating distinguished Africans Americans performing at exceptional levels in the areas of music, literature, entertainment, media, service and education. Just in time for Black History Month.

Legendary singer Aretha Franklin and Motown founder Berry Gordy will be honored at the 2014 BET Honors.

The network announced Thursday that rapper-actor Ice Cube, American Express CEO Ken Chenault and photographer and video artist Carrie Mae Weems will also receive tributes at the event.

The special will air Feb. 24
