SpillThaTea: Who Is KEL??
KEL: I’m an Entertainer. A Diverse Rapper, Who Like To Get Into Different Genres Of Music. I Do Video And Studio Engineering & Promotions. If Not Lyrically, I’m Killing Everything.

SpillThaTea: What Made You Start Rapping?? I Always Was A Fan Of Hip Hop Since A Kid, Always Making Things Rhymes & It Flowed From There. Who Are Your Influences?? Scarface, UGK, Big Mike, MC Lyte, Queen Latifa, Da Brat.
KEL: Being From Houston To You Do You Compare Yourself To Local Rappers Or Mainstream ? I Don’t Think I’m In A “Houston Box”, Most Of The Time When People Listen To My Music They Get A Variety. We All Are Influenced By Who We Listen To. For Me Right Now I Like Ti. Future. Bob. Kendrick Lamar. Joe Budden. I Love Underground Artist. It’s Too Many To Name. I Support That Movement Heavy Because We All Start From The Bottom.

SpillThaTea: Most Female Rappers Talk About Things From A Famine Prospective But No Real Lyrical Content, What Do You Feel You Bring Different To The Game ??
KEL: Even Though I Find Myself Lyrical. I Like The Party Music. Being From Texas You Get The Slow Loud And Banging In Houston And The Dallas Swag Movement Is Strong. So I Cater To My Local Fans Who Can Dance And Relate.

SpillThaTea: Do You Think It’s A Shortage Of Talented Female Rappers In The Game ??
KEL: Hell Yeah. Especially Main Stream. Nicki Minaj Was In A Category On BET Awards Against Nobody In Comparisons Nowadays. Iggy Trying To Come Up. But Nothing To Compare Like Eve, Lauryn Hill Or Da Brat. See Society Look At Who Hot And Compare, I’m Ready To Be Compared {Laughs}

SpillThaTea: Personally Been Following You For Past 2yrs Musically. I Like Your Drive & Humble Attitude. You Work With Alot Of Local Lesbians On The Come Up, Who Do You Like Worldwide??
KEL: I Like Alot Of Them. Underground Music Get Overlooked Alot, You Got Sincere Doing Her Thing, Mookie Locks A Lyrical Beast We About To Do A Collab-Mixtape Justified, Keke Daweidro With Stud life Movement, I Respect That. Temper, Jimmi, It’s Alot. I Try To Show Love Because I Do Have A Lot Of Connection. But Honestly Deep down I Just Really Want to See One of Us Make It, & Not Have to Compromise What and Who I Am for Television, Then We’ve All Made It As A Community.

SpillThaTea: Do You Think The World Is Ready For That Type Of Change In Music, ” A Lesbian Rapper ” ?

KEL: Change Happen Every day. I Think It’s Going To Hit And Main Stream Are Going To Try To Get ” The Next Lesbian Rapper” I Just Want Hope It’s Not #TrendingTopic Of A Fad But A Solid Respectful Position For True Artist.

SpillThaTea: True Artist Love Their Music Commit To It. Do You Find It Hard To Have A Committed Relationship Outside Rap??
KEL: That’s The Hardest Thing About It, The Time. A lot Of Underground Artist Have Real Jobs and Have to Put the Time into Their Music as a Hobby. Your Mate Not Understand After You Get Off Work You Have To Go To The Studio Or A Club And Still Put In Quality Time. You Can’t Just Gal Up Anybody, I’ve Had A True Rider With Me Off & On For 9 Years.
